Because birth is unpredictable, I only take a limited number of clients per month to ensure I can be available for your window. Most families book during their second trimester (between 16–24 weeks) to secure their spot on my calendar.
I go "on-call" for you starting at 38 weeks and remain available 24/7 until your baby arrives. This means my bags are packed, my batteries are charged, and I’m ready to head out the door the moment you give me the signal—whether it's 2:00 PM or 2:00 AM.
Communication is key! You’ll keep me updated on early labor signs. I typically head to your home or hospital once you are in active labor (usually around 6cm dilated) or when your contractions are consistent and strong. My goal is to capture the intensity of active labor, the birth itself, and the first golden hour of bonding.
Birth photography is about the emotion and the story, not a medical documentary. I use artistic angles, lighting, and composition to ensure your dignity is maintained. Many of my clients are surprised to see how much I can capture while keeping things modest and tasteful.
What if you miss the birth?
Birth is the ultimate wild card! If things move lightning-fast and I miss the actual delivery, I will still come to capture those raw, first moments of skin-to-skin, the first feeding, and all the "new baby" details. If the miss is due to a professional error on my part, your contract will outline my specific refund or credit policies.
What happens if I have a C-section?
I document all types of births! If you have a planned or unplanned Cesarean, I will capture as much as the medical staff allows. If I am not permitted in the OR, I will be waiting right outside to capture the baby being brought to the nursery and your first moments together in recovery.
What if you are sick or at another birth?
In the rare event that I am physically unable to attend your birth, I have a network of trusted backup photographers with similar styles who can step in. I handle all the coordination so you can focus entirely on your labor.
Do you use a flash?
I prefer to use natural and ambient light to keep the atmosphere of your birth space peaceful. However, if it’s a very dark room at night, I may use a professional-grade bounce flash (aimed at the ceiling) to ensure your photos are crisp and high-quality. We can discuss your preferences for this during our consultation.
How many images will I receive?
Every birth is different, but a typical gallery includes 75–120+ high-resolution images. These are professionally edited to tell the complete story of your baby’s birthday.
